Performance Management Process Updates
With April 2015 in our rear view mirror, those in the non-bargained employee groups will likely be wrapping up their 2014-15 employee evaluation. You may have received an email earlier this week reminding you to complete the employee's section. In the next few weeks supervisors will be completing the supervisor evaluation and meeting with their employees. For an exact schedule of this process you may access the Process Timeline. Final acknowledgements on the evaluations are due by mid-June.

We listened to your feedback and are in the process of making some enhancements for the 2015-16 performance year. The new review will be available within the next few weeks. As always, if you have questions about the process please contact Gail Ryckman or Tracey Zang at 3480.

Developing Character for Decisiveness
What does it mean to be decisive? Decision makers come in all shapes and forms and work at all levels of an organization. It's not only CEOs and managers who must be effective decision makers – all employees should have the character traits necessary to make timely and appropriate decisions to enhance organizational success.

This SkillSoft course examines steps in the decision-making process, followed by an introduction to the character traits that will help employees build confidence and make better decisions. The course also examines what to do after a decision has been made: putting your work into action. And it shows how 'taking action' isn't always the end goal; sometimes the best decision is to take no action at all.
