Hybrid scooter being demonstrated at Oakland University on Thursday, April 16
The Berylline Corporation, LLC, of Troy, is bringing a prototype F2A hybrid scooter to the OU INCubator's Shotwell-Gustafson Pavilion at Oakland University on Thursday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The vehicle is a 100 mpg. gasoline and electric hybrid scooter that will retail around $6,000. Company officials will be offering media and other visitors the first opportunity to get up close and personal, witness scooter demonstrations and ask questions about the bike, which is scheduled for distribution in 2016.
Marketing research on this vehicle was done in 2013 in partnership with Oakland University Center for Integrated Business Research and Education Consultancy students. The group included an interdisciplinary team of students from IT, business and marketing students from the School of Business Administration under the direction of Professor Mohan Tanniru. Their findings indicated that this highly efficient hybrid scooter could fit into several niche segments.
